Hen Party Cocktails

The Qucik F*ck, Cocksucking Cowboy and Slippery Nipple have been happily left in the 90's. We are now more sophisticated and enjoy a delicious cocktail rather than some raunchy named shot.

 

ROSEBUD

The Rosebud is a long time classic and it's one of those drinks that people describe as "delicious" and "my favourite". It's sweet, moderate in alcohol, and a cocktail list staple

Ingredients

  • 40ml vanilla vodka
  • 40ml pineapple juice
  • 40ml cranberry juice
  • 10ml passionfruit pulp
  • 10ml lemon juice

Method
In a cocktail shaker (ideally one with a pouring strainer lid) full of ice add all ingredients and shake well, strain into margarita glasses.

 

PINA COLADA

The piña colada is a sweet and tasty cocktail made with rum, cream of coconut, and pineapple juice. It can be blended, frozen, or mixed with ice, depending on your preference. The piña colada has been the official drink of Puerto Rico since 1978, but you can enjoy this tropical beverage from the comforts of your own home. If you want to know how to make it, just follow these steps.

Ingredients

  • 90ml cocnut cream
  • 180ml pinapple juice
  • 45ml cream
  • 60ml white rum 

1 maraschino cherry for decoration with a sun umbrella

Method
In a blender add all ingredients and 2 cups of ice, and blend well, pour into wine glasses.

 

MOJITO

Mojito is a traditional Cuban highball. Traditionally, a mojito is a cocktail that consists of five ingredients: white rum, sugar, lime juice, soda water, and mint.

Ingredients

  • 2 parts Bacardi Carta Blanca
  • ½ fresh lime
  • 12 fresh mint leaves
  • 2 heaped bar spoons of caster sugar
  • Dash of soda water
  • Cubed ice
  • Crushed ice
  • To Garnish: Sprig of Fresh Mint

Method: Mint sprigs muddled with sugar and lime juice. Rum added and topped with soda water. Garnished with sprig of mint leaves. Served with a straw. On the rocks; poured over ice

 

MARGARITA

A margarita is a cocktail consisting of triple sec, tequila and lime or lemon juice, often served with salt or sugar on the rim of the glass. The drink is served shaken with ice, blended with ice, or without ice.

Ingredients

  • 30ml tequila
  • Dash of Triple Sec
  • Juice of 1/2 lime or lemon

Method: Pour over crushed ice, stir. Rub the rim of a stem glass with rind of lemon or lime, spin in salt—pour, and sip.
